Instructions for Match Play

Match Play begins on Thursday, May 28th.  The pairings will be posted on the Match Play page on the website.  Please let the Pro Shop and Allyn Willard (allynwillard@rogers.com) know if you are cancelling.  All subsequent matches are to be arranged by the opponents by the deadline for that round (See Schedule).  Please read the Match Play Rules on the Rules page.
All A, B & C Flights will play from the White Tees.
The current handicaps posted on the website are to be used.

Scorecards
Your scorecard with your handicap strokes identified will be emailed to you and/or provided on the first tee.  Print it and bring it to your match.  Both competitors should keep score.
     Enter your score in the 'Gross Score' line.
     Subtract any handicap strokes for the hole and enter in the 'Net Score' line.
     Lowest Net Score wins the hole.  If tied, no one wins.
     Use the '+/-' line to keep track of the number of holes you are up or down.
     Match is over when one player is up by more holes than remain.
     If tied after 18 holes, sudden death playoff holes will be played until one player wins a hole.  It is preferrable to play them on the same course if the starter can get you in.  If it is necessary to play on the other course, you will need to calculate the handicap strokes.

For subsequent rounds, use the Match Play Scorecard emailed or provided to you.  If you are unable to print it let Allyn Willard (allynwillard@rogers.com)  know and he will print it and it will be provided to you at the first tee.
Important things to remember
The Match Play Rules are found on the 'Rules' page and at the top of this page.
The handicaps to be used are those posted on the website for the current week.
All A, B & C Flights will play from the White Tees.
The winner of the match is to send an email to allynwillard@rogers.com with the following in the Subject line:  Match, Last name, First name, result of match.
Match Play scores must be posted on Golf Canada within 48 hours of the completion of the match.  See the rules for how to handle conceded holes and holes not played.

There is no charge for Match Play so sign up by email as specified above.  Deadline for sign up is Thursday 
May 21st at 5:00 PM.  There will be two Flights, A Flight and B/C Flights combined.
