Updates for 2025 Season
1. The NMGA Executive team is all returning for 2025.
2. We have increased the registration fee to $60 which is the first increase since 2020. This will cover the weekly payouts and some league cost.
3. We will keep the special event fee when needed at $20 per player to ensure we break even with expenses.
4. Due to the very low participation of members playing 9 holes we are removing the payouts we put in place for 9 hole golfers as we usually only had 2 or 3 regular players involved. You can still sign up for playing 9 holes but the payout matching will not take place.
4. Jamie and the Mgt. team at the resort will continue to make course improvements, especially around maintaining tee boxes, sand traps and fairways as required which were well received by the members in 2024.
5. Our season opener is scheduled for Thursday April 24th on The Ridge weather permitting and we will hold our meet and greet back at the Briar Hill Community Centre at 3:30 pm to officially kick off the season! We will hold the meet and greet even if golf is affected by weather. As well Jamie and Bob will attend the social and give us an update on what we can expect over the 2025 season.
6. We will be playing the Ridge on more Men's Days this season, 18 Ridge to 13 Valley as we expect course work being done at the beginning of our season as well as the end and our schedule reflects that.
7. We are also working with Jamie and the Resort Mgt. on getting more playing time available for members on the weekends if there are tee times open and not booked with Stay and Play guests at the resort. If this happens it will only be available to book the day of, not booking ahead as we usually do. Will keep you posted before the start of the 2025 season and hope we can make this happen.
