Updates for 2026 Season
1. The NMGA Executive team is returning for 2026. We are looking for more help on the weekly activity if any one is interested.
2. We have held the registration fee of $60 for 2026. This helps cover the weekly payouts and some league cost and events.
3. We will keep a special event fee as needed at $10/$20 per participant, which will depend on the food we will be supplying as part of the event, to ensure we break even with expenses.
4. You can still sign up for playing 9 holes on Thursdays but the payout matching will not take place due to the very low numbers of 9 hole golfers.
5. Jamie and the Mgt. team at the resort will continue to make course improvements, especially around maintaining tee boxes, sand traps and fairways as required which were well received by the members in 2025.
6. Our season opener is scheduled for Thursday April 23rd on The Ridge weather permitting. We will hold our meet and greet over a beer back at the Briar Hill Community Centre at 3:30 pm to officially kick off the season! We will hold the meet and greet even if golf is affected by weather.
7. Our popular Mixed Scramble Event will be held on Friday June 19th this year on The Ridge. Price will depend on what food we want for lunch after golf and if we will make part of the fee to play, go directly to The Alliston Food Bank so all players donate. The committee will decide early in the Spring on how things will work. We will continue to support local businesses no matter what we do for prizes and food.
8. We are working with a committee along side the Ladie's Leagues to continue the push with Jamie and the Resort Mgt. on getting more playing time for members on the weekends, if there are tee times open and not booked with Stay and Play guests. As well we continue to see if we can have a place to meet after golf for a drink or some basic food items. We know this is something our members continue to ask for.
